Paying a deposit

Deposits received for garments ompompom will be making for you are non refundable because the deposit holds the yarn you require (some of which have been discontinued) or new yarn is ordered for your specific garment

Paying in instalments

ompompom is happy to receive payment for larger items in instalments which will make buying from ompompom more accessible. Discuss how you plan to manage this with ompompom. A BACS standing order can be set up or ompompom can invoice you.

Can I return the items?

If ompompom has made the garment for you to the pattern and dimensions agreed the item is non returnable and non refundable

How long will my item take to make?

ompompom will try and make your items within 8 weeks of receiving all the monies for the garment. If there is a delay due to a busy order book ompompom will let you know.

If there is a specific event you really want ompompom to complete it by, ompompom will endeavour to fulfil that depending on demand of orders.

Will my item be exactly like the garment I tried on?

Not necessarily. The felting process is unpredictable but ompompom works to the same technique on each order. There may be very slight differences, this is the beauty of the felting textile process used by ompompom each piece is unique yet beautiful. Sizing as ordered will be managed after felting as the item is then cut and sewn.

How do I care for my ompompom items?

You will receive a card on purchase of your items. Please keep this safe but here are the care instuctions

  1. Hand wash or wash in a machine on a hand wash setting 30˚ with NO SPIN

  2. Drain the water from machine

  3. Pull wet garment onto a large towel

  4. Lay garment flat on the towel

  5. Roll garment in the towel to remove excess water

  6. Lay over an airer and garment will dry in a day

  7. Steam press with an iron on a wool setting

  8. If the item pills, this is normal with wool items, these may be removed with a gentle stroke with a razor
